This duplex flat features two bedrooms and one bath,
with a lovely private back garden, a modern kitchen and a proper dining room. Gibson Square, built in 1811, is
a perfectly intact Georgian/Regency garden square, an oasis of calm featuring a sweet little park at its heart.
Islington is London's equivalent of Manhattan's Upper West Side, and our flat is just off Upper Street, which is bursting
with shops, bars, restaurants and many bus and tube lines. We're one mile from the National Theatre (a straight shot
on the #4 bus) and it's just a 20-minute bus or tube trip to all the theaters/theatres! of the West End.
Notables living on the Square include a West
End/Broadway director, a Booker Prize-winning novelist, an Oscar-winning composer, a nationally-known comedian and a Member
of Parliament.
Both BEDROOMS
are compact, quiet and private. The stylish Master Bedroom (8' x 13.5') faces east so it's very sunny in the morning.
(It has a blackout shade for jet-laggers.) Two large closets with over 10' of hanging rods and 5 feet of shelving, plus
a 4-drawer chest of drawers. Two large under-bed drawers, too. Lovely designer fabrics, cozy classic ambiance.
The charming Guest Bedroom (8.5' x 12') has several running feet of deep open bookshelves rather than a bureau. Its
closet is in the hall just outside, with 5' of rod. Both sophisticated bedrooms feature period oil paintings, antiques,
luxury wool carpet, designer fabrics, dimmable lighting and fine linens. Tranquil, elegant nights guaranteed! NOTE: The Victoria Line tube
runs deep below Gibson Square. On exceptionally quiet days you can hear a low rumble way down below in the bedrock.
We find it a charming 'white noise', and think you will too. The trains shut down late at night, of course

The BATHROOM
features an Italian marble counter, fluffy towels, ample storage behind the mirrors, and -- the secret to a happy marriage
-- two sinks. There's no tub, but there's a proper tiled shower with a fixed head and excellent water pressure (which can
be pretty hard to find in this town). There's a full laundry room behind the bathroom, with an American-style separate drier,
and so -- unlike many London flats -- this one won't have you draping damp clothes all over the house all week!
You'll find lots of gourmet cookbooks in the flat, and plenty
of relevant novels and guidebooks to read. All down lights, and the sconces and the chandelier,
are dimmable to create a calm, elegant setting when you want it. The garden and window boxes
are all automatically irrigated, and there's a gas BBQ on the cool York stone terracing outside the kitchen.

This comfortable flat features high ceilings in the principal rooms, cornice mouldings, and the original
butler-buffed wood floors. The furnishings feature Georgian mahogany, polished English silver and brass, and Colefax
& Fowler fabrics. The kitchen is very well-equipped for cooking the gourmet treats to be found in the abundant local markets.
Children over 12 welcome, as long as they promise to
use coasters!
Featuring a sophisticated Denon
stereo / home cinema audio system, a flat-screen 14:9 Sony TV, a CD/DVD player and an iPod port ready to go. Lots of
good movies and TV-show boxed sets, plus Sky+ (TIVO-style) satellite recordable TV with the extra Movies and Sports options.
The computer provided is a Dell PC, with an HP Printer-Scanner-FAX-and-Photo-Printer. The WiFi broadband is completely
Mac-friendly, including wireless printing. American voltage converter and plug adapters. It's all hidden in a cupboard
by the fireplace.

Sports fans, take note: We're a 10-minute
walk to the Highbury & Islington Tube & Rail Station, where you get not just the Victoria Line tube, but also the
20-minute overland train to Stratford and the 2012 Olympic Village! Also, Arsenal's new state-of-the-art Emirates
football stadium is just a few minutes walk from Highbury -- no trains needed at all for that one.
